Vintage sterling silver cuff by Navajo silversmith Richard Henry Yazzie. The 1 5/8” cuff has five turquoise nuggets set diagonally. The inside is 5 3/4” with a 1 1/4” gap. ca: 1970's
Richard Henry Yazzie (12/18/1927-10/28/2000) was born for Red Running into the Water Clan. He was an active silversmith from the 1950’s-2000. Richard came from a family of silversmiths. He was the grandson of Bah Yazzie; son of Mary H. and Harrison Yazzie; brother of Wallace H., David, and Frankie Yazzie, and Helen Jack; husband of Betty Yazzie.
Richard was the smith for John Kennedy and Gallup Trading 1967-69. He was also a rancher and active in the rodeo, being a roper.
