J699 Silver Collar Corners
Vintage silver collar corners with a hand hammered repousse pattern. The corners are 3 1/4” x 3 3/4” x 5/8”.
Navajo collar corners are sometimes called "Grandmother Collar Tips." They would be worn by older Navajo women, usually during ceremonial events, when they would dress in the “best of their best.” They would complement their turquoise pieces by putting these on the collars of their gorgeous jewel toned velvet shirts, while wearing a velvet squaw skirt. These would be worn along with their manta pins, multiple strands of turquoise necklaces & other jewelry. Men would also use these on their collars.

Old Pawn or Vintage Jewelry
For collectors of Native American antique/vintage/old pawn jewelry, the emotional attraction and value of the old pawn is that it was once owned, appreciated, worn, and used by Native American Indians. It is as an intimate relic of a people and a culture that is slowly disappearing into history.
