Inlay shell and fetish necklace by Zuni carver Eddie Edaakie. The 28” necklace has 80 turquoise and shell bushytail fetishes (wolf, coyote, or fox). The 2 3/4” x 2 3/4” shell has turquoise, jet and mother of pearl kachina overlay. The shell is bordered with jet, turquoise and mother of pearl inlay.

Zuni artist Eddie Edaakie is known for his fetish carvings, fetish necklaces and inlay shells used in his jewelry. His mother, Cornelia Bowannie, was his teacher. Eddie has been an active artist since the 1970’s.
