Sterling silver buckle by Navajo silversmith Lawrence Chee. The 2 5/8” x 3 1/2” buckle with silver overlay crosses has a beautiful 1” x 1 1/4” Royston cabochon. Made for a 1 1/2” belt. Hallmark: L.T. Chee
Navajo silversmith Lawrence Chee began making jewelry in the mid 1970’s. Lawrence is from the Vanderwagon, New Mexico area on the Navajo Reservation. Hallmark: L T Chee
Royston is known for its beautiful colors ranging from deep green to rich, light blues with a brown matrix. While Royston is considered an active mine; it is a very small operation.
