J1279 Vintage Concho belt
Sterling silver vintage concho belt with six hand stamped and repousse conchos, seven repousse butterflies and a stamped and repousse buckle. Each 2” x 2 1/2” concho and the buckle have Kingman turquoise. On 3/4” x 39” vintage leather. Unsigned: jewelry of this age was rarely signed.

The Kingman mine officially shut down during the 1970s. Later, there was a period of revival and eventually reopened in 2004. The Kingman mine also provided a large amount of turquoise to the Native American jewelry market throughout the twentieth century.
