J1198 Gary Arviso
Inlay necklace by award winning Navajo lapidary artist and goldsmith Gary Arviso. Five 1/4" inlay squares and a 3/8" triangular Candelaria cabochon are on an 18" braided 14k gold chain. Each inlay square is made up of lapis, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, coral and opal.
The Candelaria Mine is located in the Candelaria Hills, close to Tonopah, Nevada. Candelaria turquoise is not readilly available and the mine is closed so it is considered to be highly collectible.
Gary Arviso was known for his contemporary inlay work set in 14k gold and using only the finest of materials.
