Sterling silver bracelet by Hopi silversmith Charleston Lewis. The ½” bracelet has a stamped flame pattern an overlay Sunface in the center. The inside is 5 3/4” with a 7/8” gap.
The Sunface represents the Spirit of the Sun God.
Hopi silversmith Charleston (Charlie) Lewis from Shungopavi, Second Mesa, was born 1968 and has been an active silversmith since 1991. He learned the art of making jewelry from his Uncle Steven Kuyuvia and uses no patterns. Each piece is an original piece of art. The Sunface is one of his favorite designs. Charleston uses the cloud and corn for his hallmark.
