Turquoise otter fetish with mother of pearl baby by Zuni carver Steven Natachu. The 3/4 x 2 1/4 x 1/2” otter has a pipestone, jet and turquoise tail.

An otter represents laughter, curiosity and mischievousness.

Steve Natachu is part of the extended Leonard Halate family. Leonard (died in 2001) was his grandfather. You can see the influence in Steven’s whimsical style.
