Picasso Marble Fox with sgraffito by Zuni master carver Garrick Acque. The 2 3/4” x 13/4” x 1/2” fox has turquoise eyes.
Sgraffito is the art of scratching or etching designs and patterns on the surface of stone of Zuni fetishes. Modern day technology aids in producing sgraffito in fetish designs and finishes in rock. The use of engravers and dremel tools make short worktimes possible.
Fox is clever and observant. He has the ability to blend in with his surroundings and is very loyal to loved ones.
