Description

Dale Begaye

Dale Begaye was born 1958 in Winslow, Arizona. He is member of the Salt and Mexican Clans.  Dale has been a silversmith since 1972 and gives credit to his brother as his teacher.

“I developed my style by working with other silversmiths in Phoenix. I love my work. I get a lot of satisfaction out of what I have accomplished. I am expanding on my techniques and plan to enter various shows.”

Dale was resident silversmith at Shades of the West for many years, and designed silverwork solely for the Anselm Collection. Having lived in the Phoenix area for several years, Dale now resides on the Navajo Reservation in northeast Arizona and no longer does silversmithing.
