Kachinas at Play by Navajo artist Alfred Benally. Three Kachinas are in a treehouse along with a Mudhead on a swing. A Mudhead and White Owl are playing a drum while a Koshare is eating watermelon. The entire sculpture is 18 1/2” x 14” x 12” at the widest points.

Navajo Kachina carver Alfred Benally has been carving for more than thirty years. Alfred is from Chinle on the Navajo Reservation. He is best known for his whimsical Koshare’s and Mudheads in a tree.
