BW148 Turtle Amulet
Beaded deerskin turtle Amulet in the traditional Sioux style. The turtle is 2” wide and 6” long. Colors: Yellow with Blue, Green and Pink
Sioux beaded amulets or fetishes were hung from a baby’s cradleboard. Later, they were hung from the child’s clothing. The amulet is a lifetime Sioux possession and is kept for protection. The lizard is the Sioux boy’s talisman, and the turtle is for the girl.
