B169 Papago basket

Vintage Papago basket. The 5 7/8” x 3 3/4” basket with a pedestal has a tight weave and is in excellent condition. Woven with natural grasses and laced with a Devil’s Claw trim.

Papago baskets are handmade using Native Plants such as Yucca, Beargrass,and Devils Claw. These Native American weavers rely on the natural colors of the desert plants. Indian Basket forms include a variety of shapes.
