For centuries people have collected vintage Native American jewelry. Most vintage jewelry was passed down generation to generation. It was also a way to carry their wealth with them. Sometimes this jewelry was used as collateral at reservation trading posts. Often it was redeemed, but sometimes it would be relinquished to pay a debt.
