J1681 Zuni Cuff

Zuni inlay cuff by Henry Morgan and Lisa Tucson. The jet, coral, turquoise and mother of pearl eagle is 3 1/4” x 2 1/8” on a three wire cuff.

Navajo silversmith Henry Morgan did the silverwork and Zuni lapidary Lisa Tucson made the inlay. The inside of the cuff is 5 3/4” with a 1 1/4” gap.

 

About the artist

H. Morgan & Lisa Tucson

Third generation Navajo silversmith Henry Morgan has been an active silversmith since 1991. Henry was born and raised on the Navajo reservation.

He usually works in sandcasting like his older sister Linda Marble (deceased.) Henry often applies an “old Pawn” oxidized finish to his pieces which he learned from his renowned older brother, Harry Morgan who is deceased.

Lisa Tucson of the Zuni Pueblo was born November 20, 1970. She is known for her inlay in a classic Zuni combination of black jet, red spiny oyster shell, mother of pearl, and sky blue turquoise. Lisa uses a combination of channel and mosaic inlay techniques to create these amazing puzzled design.

Lisa currently lives in Zuni, New Mexico.
