Sterling silver ranger set by Navajo silversmith Dale Begaye. The four piece set has beautiful lapis channel inlay. Made for a 3/4” belt.
Channel inlay is one of the most intricate techniques of jewelry making. An inlay base design is made and a rim of silver is soldered around the edges. Silver partitions are put in to form “boxes” for the cut stones to fit into
Dale Begaye was resident silversmith at Shades of the West for many years, and designed silverwork solely for the Anselm Collection. Having lived in the Phoenix area for several years, Dale now resides on the Navajo Reservation in northeast Arizona and no longer does silversmithing.
