A beatifully carved hummingbird from marble with turquoise eyes and beak. The wings tips are mosaic inlay of jet, turquoise and pipestone.

Brandon Phillips
Brandon Phillips is a member of the Zuni Tribe and lives at the pueblo.
His uncle is renowned Zuni fetish carver Herb Halate. Brandon's mother is Marvellita Phillips who is notorious for her crushed turquoise fetish bowls.
Brandon’s grandfather, Leonard Halate, was a silversmith who took up carving in the 1960’s. His unique style (whimsical and folk art quality) continues to influence some of his decedents today.
