AA3102 Turquoise Pendant
Large Sleeping Beauty turquoise and peridot pendant on turquoise hand cut beads. The 3/4” x 1 1/4” sterling silver pendant is on 18” matching Sleeping Beauty beads that have peridot, sterling silver and sugalite beads spaced throughout. A 1/4” stamped bale gives the pendant a total length of 1 1/2”.

The Sleeping Beauty mine is located near Globe, Arizona. Its turquoise is noted for its solid, light blue color with little or no matrix. Sleeping Beauty turquoise is the favorite of the Zuni Pueblo silversmiths for use in petit point, needlepoint, and inlay jewelry. This mine is one of the largest in North America and was still operating until August 2012.
