Guy Nez Jr. is a Navajo Indian born in a “Hogan” on the Navajo Reservation on December 26, 1946 at White Cove, Arizona. He attended Holbrook Bordertown Indian School and graduated in 1966.

… Los Angeles Trade Technical College in Los Angeles, California where he studied fine and commercial art.
He learned traditions and ancient Navajo Legends from his great grandfather along with the “Anasazi” pictographs and petroglyphs. Guy Nez Jr. is a versatile artist known for painting, sculpture, jewelry, pottery all presenting traditional Native American culture & life. Nez’s expertise and knowledge of ceremonies and clothing of his people is well illustrated in his paintings. His depiction is true to character.
