Original watercolor by Navajo artist Irving Toddy. This 5 ½” x 9 ½” contemporary painting has six multicolor horses, five riders, and a dog.
Born in 1951, Irving Toddy is the oldest son of Beatin Yazz, traditional artist, and brother of Marvin and Calvin Toddy, who are contemporary Navajo artists. He and his brothers have been instrumental in the transition of Navajo art, from the traditional to the modern realistic style. Irving has illustrated several children’s books, and his work is shown in art galleries and museums throughout the United States.
